Misaki Kawasaki
Misaki Kawasaki
Warsaw, Poland completed 2025The lighting concept for Misaki Kawasaki is divided between two spaces: the restaurant and the club. The proposals for both are built on multiple layers of light, integrated into the interior design and emphasizing the character of the venue. The dominant color of the decorative lighting is red, which enhances the tones of the finishing materials – objects lit in this color are meant to produce a glowing effect. Table and bar tops are lit with warm white light from very narrow-beam fixtures, achieving a pleasant level of illuminance on their surfaces while keeping the surrounding space in half-light.
For the restaurant space, we designed custom pendant lanterns whose form and color palette complement the interior. The fixtures are made from ribbon material set on a metal frame, in four geometric variants. Visual comfort is ensured by the diffuser’s micro-prismatic surface as well as the recessed placement of the light source within the shade, resulting in soft, glare-free light. The system is complemented by wall sconces in glass and brushed aluminum, with a warm orange-tinted glass that rounds out the space’s color language.
In the club area, the first impression is shaped by five brushed-aluminum-finished LED screens positioned at the entrance. They display hidden content that greets and bids farewell to guests, while also creating a distinctive photo backdrop and a decorative feature visible from the terrace. The centerpiece of the interior, however, is a lighting installation covering the ceiling – discs in deep red and burgundy, with varied surface detail, fitted with metal light sources emitting both color-changing light and white. The space is completed by a dedicated lantern – larger and in a different color than the models designed for the Misaki restaurant.
